Angelique Soulakos

Virtual Trainer
Hey there, I’m Angelique! I’m so glad you’re here. A little about me… I grew up in the Atlanta area and started teaching group fitness classes when I was 15 years old! Teaching helped me come out of my shell (jumping on stage to tell adults what to do was no joke!) and introduced me to one of my most helpful coping skills (can you tell I’m a therapist?). It also pushed me into some not-so-healthy exercise and eating patterns. My own therapist mentioned intuitive eating and HAES to me at some point in college, which was such a game changer in how I approached myself, food, and exercise. I pursued a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia Tech and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. I am also an ACE certified personal trainer, AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor, and Yoga Alliance 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. I value the mind-body connection and enjoy creating workout plans tailored to the individual’s needs, goals, and strengths. I believe that movement can and should be enjoyable, stress-relieving, and encouraging, rather than painful, punishing, or shaming. I look forward to meeting you!

More About Angelique

Angelique's Fitness Journey

I have taught and enjoyed just about every class under the sun: cycle, dance, strength, Pilates, yoga, aqua aerobics, HIIT, and more. I’ve also run about 10 half marathons. I go through phases of what is most helpful and enjoyable for me. Right now, I am loving dance, walking with my sweet pup, Soto, and yoga! Music has always been one of the most important parts of my workouts.

What Body Positive Means to Angelique

Body positivity to me is trying to be “body neutral.” My hope is that my thoughts and feelings about who I am and what I’m worth don’t change based on how my body looks. Someone once said “My body is the most uninteresting thing about me” and that has stuck with me. I love and appreciate all that my body has adapted to and done; my body holds my story. AND there are so many other more important and interesting things about me that don’t include the number on the scale or the size of my clothes.
